Do Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, Meta, and Others Offer Local Inventory Ads?

Most of our local feed work is focused on Google Local Inventory Ads (LIA)—no surprise there, since it’s the biggest game in town. But a lot of clients don’t realize there are other ad platforms that might help push local, in-store products too.

So, the question comes up: Do Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, Meta, and others actually have their own version of LIA? Officially? Only those companies can say. But if you're a national retailer with physical stores, it’s worth reaching out to your ad reps and asking. Some of these platforms have internal programs or beta tools that aren't widely advertised, and you might be eligible.

Now, they might say “no” or “not yet”—or you might get stuck in some pilot program limbo—but they also might say "yes, let's do this!".

Here's the good news: even without an official LIA product, there are ways to localize your campaigns using existing tools. It all depends on a few key things:

  • Does the platform allow geo-targeting at all?
  • Can you set that geo-targeting at the campaign or ad-set level?
  • Can you upload more than one feed—or at least use custom labels to control targeting?

If the answer is “yes” to those, there’s a good chance VersaFeed can build a “LIA-like” campaign that targets specific regions with in-store offers, even though it's not officially supported!

Of course, the best-case scenario is that the platform actually has a beta LIA program and wants your feed. In that case, VersaFeed can help get your data formatted correctly and make sure you're one of the first merchants live with local inventory on that channel.
